Intermediate Band Director - Alena Arnason

Alena Arnason joined the New Horizons Band family in 2017 as the conductor of the Intermediate Band. Alena holds a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba, as well as a Master of Education from Acadia University. She has taught Band, Jazz Band, and Music in Pembina Trails School Division since 2010.

 

Alena is an active performer, clinician, and volunteer in the Manitoba Band community, performing with the Winnipeg Wind Ensemble and the Exchange Quartet, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Winnipeg Wind Ensemble and Winnipeg Youth Wind Ensemble.

 

She is a passionate believer in music education for all and she is proud to be a member of the New Horizons International Music Association.
